The title is my own because as far as I can tell the artist does not title the comics. For those who don’t know the comic is mostly a comic diary and the characters are her actual family. It does have some political ones with fictional third parties being interacted with (maybe based on some experience) but this one is about the day to day. Their is hover commentary at the site.
Red sky at night, forests alight.
Red sky in the morning, global warming.
Red Sun at noon, asphyxiation soon
Now I feel like I need to look more into red sky’s. I never think much about sunrise/set colors
FWIW, this commenter is likely referencing an old adage (or at least that was the original that my mother taught me):
Red sky at morning, sailor take warning
Red sky at night, sailor’s delight
There are many similar ones, some rearranging the words and some - like I saw while double checking that I didn’t get it completely wrong - applying it to other professions. The one I saw changed it to “Shepherd.”
Black sky at night, stargazer’s delight
Black sky in morneth, praise be He comethThe black goat of the woods?
It’s really much more orange when it’s the forest or town
Air Quality: Tatooine
40 years ago this would be a Farside comic
Presumably she’s not allowed because she should know by that age that the sun is always white. It’s just how it appears filtered through the atmosphere. Until she learns this, the playground is off-limits.
Ugh don’t you hate it when your friends are playing on the playground and then day breaks
Get used to it :(
