    Climate change means shitty results from global food production … i did read Ghana has roughly 30% lower cocoa production this year due to weather. I would guess this means a price increase for cocoa.

    Thats just one example. It can happen with coffee, beans, rice, fruits etc as well

    Higher food costs means poorer people get poorer quality foods, meaning less healthy individuals, meaning lower quality of life.

      Cacao has been having a consistent price increase for years now. I think chocolate here has more than doubled.

      That’s a luxury though. When basics get more expensive we’re fucked. That obviously won’t affect the capitalist ruling class though because they can afford it, and they’ll be able to offset their own costs by the rest of us paying more.

      Food shortage is in the capitalists best interest, actually.
