    Well I did agree with you that they still should have the single candidate race on the ballot so you could have voiced an opinion. Other people could have run, but didn’t, and that’s on them for having chosen not to. As a far as Harris goes, they did open up the field for people to declare a candidacy to be voted for by the delegates to the convention, and several people did, and the pledged delegates did get their vote. It was a year of extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances. A measly 4% of the primary vote going to Uncommitted was enough to Garner massive media coverage, impacting public opinion, and pushing the donors to pressure the sitting president who was already the presumptive nominee to drop out. You can’t tell me that wasn’t a demonstration of the will of the people, starting with the primaries.

    AOC and the rest of the squad got in thru their respective primaries, without party support. So did Mamdani. And Stayed and several others this year.

    And I absolutely agree you about your city-wide primary being cancelled. Maybe you could consider joining the party to push for change.
