While speaking on the final night of the GOP midterm convention, Vice President JD Vance said the country was “poorer” and “dirtier” before President Donald Trump was reelected for a second term.
“We were tired of being called racists for noticing that our country was becoming dirtier and poorer, and less safe and less prosperous,” Vance said on the final day of the two-day convention in Dallas, Texas.
His sentiment appeared to reflect the administration’s efforts to combat rising immigration rates in the U.S., a key campaign point during the 2024 election. Vance himself promoted unsubstantiated claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, in September 2024, spreading misinformation about the community abducting and eating pets.

Wait, sounds like Vance brought his family into the convo first. The mental gymnastics these sad sacks of shit perform boggles me.
He does that a lot. He tries to sneak in some "veiled’ attack or remark and when people call him out for it he says they’re attacking him or his family. He’s a pathetic little man that thinks is somehow smarter than everyone else.
Here’s the article about the El Sayed bit if you wanna see it yourself. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/sep/01/abdul-el-sayed-jd-vance-evil
That’s a very common conservative trait: playing victim in situations you caused.
Thanks for the link, it was a fun read.
They roll over and play victim the moment someone pushes back on them
