Ted Cruz, R-Texas, joined a rapidly growing cohort of lawmakers Wednesday expressing the need for more artificial intelligence restrictions in the wake of dire human extinction warnings from AI researchers—but said U.S. companies needed to be careful not to lose to China in the race to develop artificial intelligence.


Am I the only one reading it as an “emergency to give public money from taxes to some friends owning private tech companies”?
I don’t know why I have no fear the chinese communist party would abandon all its power to an AI (neither).
