There never was an American empire. It’s all American propaganda that Americans are being told all their lives. Americans that travel will know most other countries have it better than them.

Buddy, I don’t think you know what an empire means. Empire doesn’t mean “the citizenry have resources,” it means everybody kowtows to our political interests. You wanna know how fuckin big the American empire is? When covid hit, half of Europe still hadn’t fully recovered from OUR housing market crash in 2008. Not just half the world, half of the economic bloc that we treat as “equals.” You can’t bridge “The US isn’t an empire because their people don’t have healthcare” and “Why does every country turn a blind eye when the US does X.”

I’m not your buddy and yes I am more than familiar with the term empire. And no, I’m not talking about healthcare although that would be one of the points. Most countries have better infrastructure both in energy and public infrastructure like trains, or public transport in general, better social security, better education, better life work balance.

Clearly you’ve taken the ‘Fuck America Yeah’ copium.

Mate I don’t care about the US at all nor does anyone who lives in my country. Americans are so delusional that the think they have any impact. The only impact they have now is the increase in fuel prices because of the non-war that they are losing.

Luckily the country I live in now (a genuine ancient empire BTW) , there is little impact thanks to investment in green energy, EV’s, nuclear energy and overall innovation and no dependancy on anything US. Actually my current country, would bring the US to its knees financially, but yeah, keep waving the flag ‘buddy’. The only thing the US is good at, is bullying.

Honey, the bullying is what makes it an empire. Genuinely, and I hate to say this, read some theory. And no, I’m not on copium. I hate this nation, with the fire of a thousand suns. But I can’t hate something without knowing it enough to hate it. You keep conflating the nation with its people. A nation is a bundle of prioritized interests. What those interests are are irrelevant; the definition of an empire is a nation with the dominant position to enforce those interests beyond its borders. Yes, China was an empire. They were because they could exert strength abroad and steer other nations’ material conditions to align with their own. Then they weren’t. And now they’re poised to do so again, and so long as they exist as a nation, they will fall again. This is the dialectic, the propensity for power to ebb and flow as the bourgeoisie do anything they can to claw at it until it can reach the only tenable equilibrium of being held solely by the proletariat.
