Mother and child walked in path of bullets

A Mother and her son died in the emergency room after they walked straight into the path of fired bullets. The 92 year old gun owner mixed up the trigger with the safety of his assault rifle and will have to pay a fine of $200. His lawyer announced that they will appeal the judgement, arguing that his client needs the money for new ammunition.

This works even better for western media reporting about israel

Hell no. Western reporting will run headlines like “Israel continues to commit genocide by targeting children in Gaza, UN inquiry finds”. In car crash that would be something like “During tensions between Israel and Gaza children have passed away UN inquiry finds”

On a more individual incident level it works: Four killed in Gaza attacks as Hamas security chief abducted

Try “Belgian driver convicted of murder over carnival car crash that killed seven people”

Guy literally got convicted of murder and it is still just a “crash”.

Hell you can even murder police and get a headline like: "Police sergeant dies from injuries after officials say man intentionally rammed into his motorcycle"

The BBC’s report was criticized by activists who considered the original headline (“Gaza man with Down’s syndrome dies lonely death”) to be obscuring the Israeli military’s responsibility in the incident; the headline was later changed to “Gaza man with Down’s syndrome attacked by IDF dog and left to die, mother tells BBC”.[10][3] The New Arab reported that the attack was not mentioned until the article’s 16th paragraph, nearly halfway through the article.[3]

          Memorable example.

I see every article talking about car drivers hitting bicyclists ever.

No, you see it was the car that hit the cyclist, it did that on its own, that’s why they’re called automobiles, the car driver is the real victim here.

To be fair the driver was either black-out drunk or on their phone, so it’s fair to say they weren’t really driving at the time.

In many parts of the world it’s legal for farmers to kill a dog that’s worrying(chasing) or attacking cattle because the owner isn’t in control of them.

By that logic, it should be legal to shoot out the tyres or otherwise put out of service a car the owner has lost control of.
