The bike paths near me get really busy, I sometimes get stuck behind a slow poke.

Sounds like they’re probably not wide enough, which is pretty typical of a lot of the half-arsed ways many cities implement them. My city has much improved over the last 20 years. We have a pretty effective advocacy group that actually has the ear of council.

No, they’re a pretty good size I’m just in a heavy cycling neighbourhood. We often outnumber the cars.

Even the “jams” aren’t jams, they’re just me going slower than I’d like.

Honestly, that sounds like an awesome problem to have. The paths on my commute are pretty popular as well, and everyone looks like they’re having a good time. It’s a stark contrast to when I drive to work, where there’s tailgaters and queue-jumpers and other generally aggressive dickheads.
