Gnome with a few Extensions is far superior as a tablet imo.
„TouchUp“ and „Gjs OSK“ are needed. With those installed, gnome will feel like a tablet and be easier to navigate than KDE.
Especially if you want to switch on the fly between touch navigation and mouse/keyboard
In my experience (Surface 7 using first the linux-surface kernel and then Nobara), KDE is way behind Gnome in touch support. OSK is way worse, general GUI design is not touch friendly, worse pen support… And that is before extensions like gjs oak for gnome.
