    I agree that it has little intrinsic value, but unless all of history and culture was erased I think it would still be regarded as a store of value.

      I would think actual useful survival things are worth far more. What would you rather have after doomsday or whatever, a tonne of gold, or a lighter?

        I mean, weird to keep arguing after I said I agreed for my own part. But I recognise others don’t think as we do.

        Why do you seem to believe that after thousands of years people would suddenly not regard gold as precious? That belief deserves to be interrogated.
