The problem with defending bullying these people is that bullies simply don’t care what’s justified. You need to fix culture. People don’t get the social purpose of shame, TLDR social accountability.
People don’t end up developing parasocial relationships with people online like this cause they got too much love from their parents and have too many friends. Bullying would reinforce the behavior because they will seek ways to cope.

Yeah bullying is possibly even counterproductive. What this person needs is people in their life who can be firm and snap them out of this behavior.

Not a pleasant experience but some people seem immune to learning if there’s no shaming to be had.
