No. The last chance was 2024. They lost. That was the last fair election. There is no way that the fascists have come this far and gained total control only to give it up because of an election.

“a landslide defeat for President Donald Trump in November’s midterm elections is exactly what is required if the country is to start reversing his deliberate and rapid erosion of its democracy”

that… seems unlikely to me. I mean, he’s not popular, but his approval ratings aren’t significantly worse than the last time he was president.

Fucking thank you. For the left, we are voting for our opposition. Either party will fight us but the democrats at least will kinda listen at least some and can be influenced. The fascist wouldn’t even give lip service and in fact will create laws to jail the left and crack down on it even more.

Only if people don’t vote in primaries…

That’s the part I never understand, all these fucking accounts saying it’s not worth fighting before the general, complete fucking silent during the last primary, and won’t dona damn thing before the next one in two years

If shits half as bad as you all say it is:

Go fucking volunteer with your state party and make it better.

Sitting online telling anyone with a D by their name is the same is the shit Republicans and Russians pay people money to do; don’t do it for free.

It’s almost as if you don’t count at all unless you vote. Amazing really.

If there are that many unhappy people then a difference actually could be made. Assuming they do anything.

What, voting for them and then ragging on them non-stop for stupid shit like ending welfare and supporting Iraq II: Nookyoular Boogaloo?

You know he ran against Bush the I and Bob Dole, right. And she ran against the demented rapist crook.

Seems pretty straightforward really. Unless you meant the Australian Liberals, then, probably, yeah.

Yeah yeah, primaries, Bernie, DNC, i got ya. But look - on voting day a competent liberal is better than an incompetent rapist sycophant, n’est-ce pas?

You know he ran against Bush the I and Bob Dole, right.

Then worked hand-in-glove with Phil Graham and Larry Pressler to dismantle the US regulatory state, sure.

And she ran against the demented rapist crook.

How the Hillary Clinton campaign deliberately “elevated” Donald Trump with its “pied piper” strategy

But look - on voting day a competent liberal is better than an incompetent rapist sycophant, n’est-ce pas?

First show me some of the former. A congo line of Andrew Cuomos and Gavin Newsoms and Gretchen Whitmires and Bob Menendezes and Michael Flynns have not been kind to the liberal party over the last generation.

How many Democrats spent a decade sucking up to Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg for a bucket of money, back in the Obama Era? How many worked hand-in-glove with Amazon and Boeing and Palantir, in the name of economic growth? How many sat on the board of Walmart and Goldman Sachs and Ford Motor Company, while pretending a liberal populism?

At some point, you have to take the blinders off.

Both Clintons were extremely competent and did good things.

Yeah Clinton was freaked out by Fox News’ takeover of the Chud-Americans and Congresses full of Klansmen and yes he got seekrit blowjobs and liiiiiiiieeeed about it which affected his plans but championships are a crapshoot, you get what you get.

Do we need to scrape up some “what good did clinton do” to make that case? I’m sure people who weren’t alive or whelped then may need some additional context in the lefty hole here.

I hate these accounts that pretend both parties are the same and strategically forget that when the republicans got power they stacked all the courts they could leading to this point.

If Clinton had won over Trump the world would be a better place just like if Harris had won over Trump too.

Every election has been the most important one ever, with Democrats winning the only way to save literally the entire world.

Maybe they shouldn’t have been so melodramatic in the past. Or maybe the world should hurry up and end.

Your mistake was assuming the world ending meant everyone would die.

What it really meant was the ending of your ability to control your own destiny, and we are in fact in the latter stages of the closing of that noose, no matter how much the “we’ll just grow a community garden in our commune” people like to delude themselves that the system will let them go.

Not voting. Letting this dumpster fire the maga set just go on instead. Maybe 50+ years of horrible living will fix it in the long run. If it was fixed tomorrow then they will keep doing this stunt every 4 years with the excuse that no civil war or nazi camps happened. I want it to happen to prove a point now. Fuck my country so hard.
