You know stable diffusion is not a company right?
4 of the 5 founders of Slop Defecation formed a company with the express purpose of continuing work and to profit off of Slop Defecation. That being Stability AI, who has received hundreds of millions of dollars in funding. Just because that company is based in Europe and not the United States doesn’t make them any less of a massive corporation now.
And just cause they say they are anarchists doesn’t make them any less of a horrible human being. They steal billions of people’s work, without proper payment for said work. Not even so much as a line of text stating who they stole from.
Lastly, obviously the name of the model is not the name of the company. Just like how ChatGPT is not the name of another slop company.
It’s all corporate slop at the end of the day. Doesn’t matter if no one put their name on it. Stable diffusion sounds like something generated by a slopper “what do I call this image generation AI?” Slopper: “Stable Diffusion”
