The Iranian people are victims of their own government , it’s absolute garbage institution and should be destroyed and replaced with something that doesn’t carelessly destroy so many innocent lives. If you care about the Iranian people as you say, I have no idea why you want to condemn them to that hell with silence.
The glib willingness with which to write off all their atrocities with whataboutism and minimization is revolting, people like you are why those regimes continue as long as they do. Believe it or not, you can hate all the shitty governments, even when they’re fighting each other.

The Iranian people are even more victims of America’s actions, not just the current bombings, but almost a century of fucking up with Iran, including triggering the very chain of events that put the current regime in power in Iran (when America overthrew Iran’s democratically elected government and put the Shah back in power, which led to the Islamic Revolution).
Pretty much every single way in which Iranians are being fucked up can be traced back directly or indirectly to America.
And here you are, relentlessly defending that the regime in America (and the equally imperialist one in Russia) are less bad than the one in Iran.
Talking about how the Iranian regime “massacres and persecutes their own people” to support the the notion that America is less murderous and to claim that Iran’s actions of self-defense against American bases used to attack Iran in its allied nations around it aren’t justified (which is where this whole thread started) is self-serving tribalist hypocrisy.
You don’t give a flying fuck about the people being killed when you wheel out the stories of one set of victims to claim that the people victimizing FAR more people aren’t as bad, repeating the profoundly hypocrite warmongering Propaganda of the most murderous aggressive nations around, America, Russia and Israel, to justify their far more murderous actions.

It’s a non-sequitur. Nobody was defending the US and the only reason why they even came up is because you mentioned them by way of were praising an objectively awful government. It also occurred to me to ask since you put “massacres and persecutes their own people”,” do you think Iran doesn’t do that? Or is it just inconvenient to acknowledge it while fighting American imperialism online?
I’ve noticed that is a common thread, that many people’s entire worldview is ‘America bad’; so much so that pointing out horrifying things a country does in any context is replied to with ‘why are you downplaying how bad America is’?
