Israeli companies have developed and are selling advanced cyber tools that can hack into the tech of your car and use it to collect intelligence on you.

These tools can also assist in a cross-referencing of data to identify an intelligence target among tens of thousands of cars on the road. This technology can track the vehicle’s movements in real time and potentially eavesdrop on the people inside.

Your car, your pathetic smart watch, your phone obviously, your neighborhood FLOCK cameras, and your friends/families devices too. It wasn’t long ago a story made the rounds that a person’s Toyota was reporting telemetry back, which was then sold to their insurance company, who used that data (basing on above average brake pedal use) to raise their rates.

Unless you’re in a room by yourself and any/every computer is running Linux, you are currently under surveillance. American company, Israeli company, doesn’t matter.

Short of pitchforks, torches, and organized groups at (at least) hundreds or thousands of physical locations, pulling heavy guillotines I don’t know what to suggest other than give up the modern conveniences.

Giving up modern conveniences is exactly what I’ve started doing. Self-hosting, using Linux, less smartphone usage (installing graphene soon). Yes, it is less convenient, but in the past this wasn’t a problem. Plus, I enjoy fiddling around with tech. I am fed up with every bit of technology holding your hand, while fucking you up the arse at the same time.

We need to think of destroying this ill gotten information after we do finally get rid of these plutocratic clowns. I say put the owners in the data banks, and after due process blow it.
