An arbitrator ordered the newspaper to reinstate Karen Attiah, who was fired after posting about “white men who espouse hatred and violence” following Charlie Kirk’s killing.
It depends on the circumstances, but I might return.
The biggest circumstance is my management. If my manager was awesome and the termination came from the PR department or some high up mucky muck who would never interact with me normally, then I’d go back.
If the termination came from my direct manager, I’d never go back and work for that person.
If I was illegally fired by my manager and later got my job back through arbitration, and my manager was fired instead, I would probably return to the job, if for no other reason, than just to run a victory lap before leaving again.
