I think part of it is that we do know that we are idiots compared to genius scientists and hell a lot of 14 year olds now are way smarter than me. I really dont have any specific skills anyone else can’t do (people doing 3d cad and printing and shit just in their free time, thats a genius right there to me, or any coding). I think when we find those people who are actually unintelligent but think they are super smart becuase they watched a Facebook video on politics that our brain kind of implodes at the lack of self awareness.
