    Worse than actually buying, they pre-ordered. The hardware hasn’t even been made for it to be sold as “used”, and even if it was, i doubt its readily usable for consumer hardware

      But that also means that if the bubble popped soon enough they could still go back on those pre-orders and then there would be supply back on the market, wouldn’t it?

        The problem is that the hardware for AI and consumers are very different. And instead of manufacturers spinning up new production of these different components they actually took apart and retooled existing consumer production lines to make these AI computer components.

        There will be a lull of having to retool and go back to producing consumer grade and they might just not bother if they think everyone is to poor to purchase them and lean on exclusivity to keep prices high for a while after.
