If there’s a camera pointing at the entrance of the toilets, they could use the recorded footage along with the time that the screen lost its network connection to narrow down the suspects. Especially since, unless you’re confident you can do something to this thing silently, you’d want to do it when nobody is around.
…I guess you could also blow raspberries to drown out the sound. You might get some sympathetic looks when you leave the stall, though.
You can just kill the panel, the computer would be none the wiser.
The weirdly large blank space at the bottom does suggest the computer is there and not, say, underneath the display, so that would make it easy to avoid. Could still be booby-trapped, though. A light-beam getting interrupted or light sensor detecting that there is more light entering the enclosure than there should be could send a message home and then they would still have the time information.
