    Bullshit story, it includes COVID inflation from years back where prices went up 21% between 2021 and 2023.
    There is nothing new in this article, and only at the very last part of the article they write the truth:

    Prices for all food are expected to increase by 3.1% in 2026

        Yes a name intentionally made as a mix between Washington Post and New York Times to make it seem credible when in fact it’s about as crappy as it gets.

      I don’t know why people are claiming it’s a bullshit story, grocery prices are up 33% compared to 2019. It includes the inflation from COVID pricing because those prices never went back down.

      If you don’t like the nypost you can find the 33% figure in several other more reputable sources. They are all working off of the same data about Consumer Price Index index from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

        Because they don’t write that it’s since 2019, that means it’s over 7 years.
        Such numbers are usually on a per year basis unless otherwise indicated.
