There’s enough voters on the left to defeat the right, you just have to get them to vote. Progressive policies are popular on the left, and when you don’t put them at the front of your campaign, you’re not going to motivate all potential voters to vote, or they’ll vote third-party.

You nailed it. I really don’t understand what is complicated about this either. I tend to believe a lot of older corporate Dems are intentionally keeping popular policies out of the mainstream but there appear to be quite a few well meaning Dems that can’t seem to figure this out. It is baffling to me.
It’s not just right voter’s that they’re trying to impress it’s their donors and corporations too. Democrats care more about these groups than their base.
