    It’s sad how many people apparently failed high school civics.

    Tariffs are designed to increase prices of foreign goods in order to reduce external economic advantage and encourage buying American. The problem is that Trump’s tariffs are indescriminate and completely ignore the fact that certain things just aren’t produced in the US, increasing prices on things where there is no American made alternative. So, ya know, a tax hike disguised as a way to harm other countries for all the rubes.

    Try explaining this to literally anyone who thinks the tariffs are a good idea. Trump loves the uneducated.
