    You shouldn’t be saving with high street banks anyway. Use one of the aggregator sites that uses open banking to let you open savings accounts with most providers so you can move it around easily.

    I use Hargreaves Landsdown, have both a cash ISA and standard savings acct with them. (From before they did cash ISAs)

    £220 probably isn’t worth it, for the amount of buggering about changing banks causes, with all direct debits, standing orders, online banking, online shopping etc needing updating

      It’s straight forward if you use the current account switch service, we’ve just done it to move banks.

      I guess you could keep a dormant current account open that you don’t use or use sparingly and use that to switch to a new account to get the reward. Probably does a number on your credit score if you do it quite frequently and it’s something you care about.

      Direct debits should be switched automatically, but yeah agree about having to change it everywhere else
