how many minority groups there are and what percentage of the population they make
the percentage of crime attributed to each group
the median income and wealth of each group
the median income of the convicted felons
If a 5% minority is committing 35% of the murders, that isn’t good. But if the minority is 35% and the white majority is 65%, then in both groups 1% of the group would be committing crimes. Further, if the minorities mostly have a lower income and live in poverty but commit most of the crimes, but the majority of crimes commited by the white majority are also by poor people, then one could argue the problem isn’t ethnicity or whatever - it’s income.
I’m willing to be most crimes are committed by those worse off and not helped by society. And I’m also willing to bet it’s because society is being bled dry by the ultra-wealthy who leave crumbs behind for the poor to squabble over, and force them into precarity.
It would be good to provide more numbers:

Looks like 18.3% are “minority ethnic”
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find stats on income of criminals.
This is the best I could find:
There’s also “Street-level crime and its relationship to deprivation” which confirms the same again in 2026 in London.
