In an exclusive interview with Meet the Press, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) indicated that he does not currently support Medicare for all legislation after co-sponsoring similar bills from 2013-2021.
To put it in a weird context: I am like 50 and I was so conservative as a younger man that I was nicknamed after Rush Limbaugh. OK? I was a pre-Trump right-wing asshole.
And even I favored Medicare for All. As a conservative Republican.
Why? Because it made the most business sense. You mean I can control my health care costs, cover everyone in the country, cut out like 2/3 of the paperwork, anyone can see any doctor, and I can let HR do something other than insurance paperwork? You couldn’t build a bigger political win-win-win-win-win.
That’s actually the issue that drove me out of the party. Romney running against Obamacare (aka Romneycare) as if he didn’t invent the fucking plan was my last straw.
If you’re a business conservative against Medicare for All, you need a new CPA.
Fucking imbecile.
