The establishment Democrats will lose in November if they don’t change their positions on datacenters. I want this guy to win over a Republican. But he will lose to the Republican that is anti datacenter (at least in their messaging).

This was a softball question. He was meant to say “I don’t want to defund the police but I want to abolish ICE”. Instead he talked weak on datacenters and “economic opportunities”. Datacenters aren’t economic opportunities. They are a cancer on any community they are built in. People aren’t that dumb. They can tell this means “more datacenters but we’ll try to make them less awful”.

This is why we need DSA candidates winning and endorsed by Bernie and AOC. These “safe” Democrats will lose.

I really am starting to believe that the Democratic party is being encouraged into unpopular positions by their donors. Millions of donations from datacenters telling them to “be reasonable” on them. While, these same companies will fund the Republican campaign and say “go ahead and shit on us to win. We know you don’t mean it”.

Lying is OP. And Democrats won’t even lie (or even avoid in this case) about their support for a nationally unpopular position.

This should be a massive red flag to anyone that actually wants Democrats to win in November. David Crowley is the perfect example of how the Democratic party establishment can throw away wins in a historically unpopular year for Republicans.
