In a phone call on 31 July, Vance complained that Ukrainian strikes on tankers carrying oil from Kazakhstan were hurting US companies and destabilising oil prices. He told Zelenskyy to stop them, the newspaper said, citing unnamed Ukrainian officials.
…
Since the phone call, Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces have not attacked ships carrying oil from Kazakhstan via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal. But they have continued to pound other targets in Novorossiysk, which is home to Russia’s Black Sea naval fleet.
Pretty outstanding maneuver by Ukraine here. One way or another they’ll get the interceptor missiles.
America is having a hard time with its little war, so Ukraine finds a way to signal that it wants to help alleviate the economic damage. Meanwhile, they continue to actively hunt down Russia’s shadow fleet, which must be incredibly entertaining to European allies who’ve been dealing with their bullshit for decades.
I guess this must somehow be a strategic proposal to make signals towards Ukraine’s allies. Because there is no way that Putin will openly agree to a proposal the Ukraine makes. For an honest agreement I assume it all has to happen behind the curtains.
They actually used to have a deal to not attack grain shipments in 2022 and 2023. That was not extended by Russia, but it did happen.
Right now it’s a win win situation for Ukraine I would say. Either Russia agrees to a deal or Russia once again shows the the whole world they just want to destroy Ukraine
I am not so sure about this. We are talking about a country that started its hugest attacks and targeted civilians always right before any negotiations to project strength.
honest agreement
tehe good one
lol
