    There’s no mechanism for a state official to remove a Senator from office, other than the coroner signing a death certificate. You can’t hold a special election to fill an office that isn’t officially vacant. Unfortunately, there’s no recall elections for federal office holders.

      Naw. Just proclaim he’s dead and start the process. Mitch with either show up quick, or else he doesn’t and that’s proof someone else can get to work.

        And if you hold the election and Mitch appears alive and well later, then Mitch takes his seat back. Not hard to figure out
