    The way the deindustrialisation rate is going they could well make it. Unemployed people don’t commute and consume less.

      Yes, I call this the Donald Trump school of climate mitigation: rapidly tear down globalized trade and undermine industrialized economy as we know it. Might prove better than the Paris accord for reducing emissions from economic activity, in the end.
