Consistent with my thoughts, this video presents some speculation about the recent “test” by OpenAI.
If I had done it, I expect I would spend the rest of my life in prison for felony hacking. But I also expect that no one at OpenAI will be charged with anything, nor any criminal investigation pursued and absolutely no hope of anyone being convicted, let alone anyone in a position of authority. The feeling is: hopeless.
I did think about that. Probably could have and should have found some real content with the same message. On the other hand, I saw it and the message is aligned with what I think, and there is some satisfaction in seeing AI used to diss AI.
AI and the companies developing it are ruthless. It can be used to destroy even easier than create. And, sadly, they are likely to bring us all down with them, despite the potential benefits.
If only they would use their evil genius for niceness, instead of evil…
