    This is becoming common because, like executive orders, it’s very easy to act quickly even if one is acting outside the law, and it takes the law weeks or months to follow up and hold them accountable. (Though, as we can see with the Garcia case, the courts are indeed acting.)

    It’s also why we’re seeing this escalation now. Donald can’t acknowledge it to himself, but he is going to lose Congress this year. That means the grifts have to be supercharged, and that is the other side of this coin, the massive profitability of arresting innocent people and shuffling them around to various concentration camps detention centers. It is a particularly toxic and egregious microcosm of the Prison Industrial Complex here in the USA.

    And who’s going to stop them?

    Surely not Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries, the two limpest dick Democrats any of us have ever seen.
