This is good, but I wish projects like this, and Europe in general would look wider than Europe. There are many in the rest of the world and Americans too, who are aching to be freed from anti-democratic, unregulated oligarchic big tech.
Edit: A WSP (World Search Perspective), started and owned by Europeans, could aim to index everything, and be real competition to Google and Bing. There isn’t any real prospect that every country or region could do this for themselves.
Has to start somewhere. And I think the world would not appreciate Europe trying to decide what’s good for the world. If the world wants, then EUSP can expand.
