Residents are sending a clear message about the violent deportations taking place across the US this midterm cycle
Minnesota voters left “I Voted” stickers on memorial sites for Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good, the two US citizens killed by federal immigration officials earlier this year.
Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care unit nurse at the Veterans Affairs medical center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Good, a writer and mother of three, were killed during a large-scale immigration enforcement operation in the Minneapolis region in January.
Donald Trump’s aggressive and violent mass deportation campaign has been a key issue for voters across the country during this midterm cycle, and has played a large part in Minnesota’s election.

I want ice cream!
Sorry, the ice cream parlor is closed, Hun. But I’ll tell you what. Since you’ve been well-mannered this week, we can go to the convenience store and get candy or we can go home and have popsicles.
No! That’s bullshit. I want ice cream and fuck you for thinking that popsicles and candy are a nice consolation prize. Open a new ice cream parlor that berates anyone thats happy about popsicles on occasion! 😡
What
Its a metaphorical representation of your comment.
People are memorializing their unnecessary deaths by showing that they went and voted against the fascists that caused it. It shows their their deaths will not be in vain and their memory serves as motivation to continue to fight for a better country. It’s not just some virtue signal about going to vote. The sentiment runs a little deeper than that.
Well it makes no fucking sense to me lol. This comment does. Leave their memorial alone. Or leave flowers, not “I voted”. Democrats were in power when ice was kidnapping and killing people in Minnesota streets.
I admit the first time I saw this I thought it meant their graves. Memorial is different, it’s definitely fucked up if anyone put “I voted” on their grave
Seems to me like you’re holding more reverence for the dead than the living.
