With Abdul El-Sayed’s win, the party’s leftwing insurgency had breached the walls of a midwestern swing state, forcing a reckoning about Democrats’ direction and leadership
Fuck the DNC. They’ve lost the plot & long since ceased to be the party of working ppl. Well guess what dipshits: thanks to stagnating wages, there’s more working class ppl than ever. The DSA gets it & I’ll do my part to make sure they keep winning over the plutocrats in both parties
The DNC can evolve. Will they? I don’t know. But the thing is: Much of the US used to be against “gay marriage”, i.e. basically against LGBTQ+ having equal rights. Over time as the sentiment of the populace changed, the DNC changed.
If the DNC wishes to continue to survive, they must accept the DSA and embrace it. If they do, I’m fine with the DNC continuing to exist. I’ll be happier and happier the more the DSA influence takes over.
But as always: We must overthrow the oligarchs to have any hope of taking back our country from them. They are the root cause of the push toward fascism, which includes the “establishment” of the DNC. It is the oligarchs we must fight.
Although increased DSA influence is great and I support it.
