The usual discussion is always vote or not: but never how the ballots are counted; the lack of exit polls; few recounts; statistics showing alarm bells; and the very act of counting is often a trade secret.

Not only that but it’s such a wide variety of experiences that the USA has areas of actual democracy, areas where voting is political satire, and everything in between.
