I wanted to compress a scan on a train with no signal, and every “free” site needed an upload. So I built OpenFile. You open it once, install it as an app, and after that merge PDFs, convert images, trim video and run small local AI tools with the network off. Everything runs in the tab with WebAssembly and Web Workers, so nothing leaves your device. It is MIT licensed, no sign-up, no watermark. There are 360+ tools now across PDF, image, video, audio, fonts, archives and data.

I would like to know which offline tool you miss the most.

Nah, security is one front where a browser is actually slightly better than simply running natively
That said you can always just bwrap whatever you’re running for a similar level of isolation.
