The relief when I open up Lemmy or Mastodon. It feels like coming home to an experience I didn’t realise I was missing. Lemmy has grown enough now that I can look at my feed throughout the day and there will be interesting posts, all with engaging comments and conversations. It’s like the internet I grew up on, only better: it’s ran by the people, for the people.
Obviously, that doesn’t mean the fedi isn’t plagued with issues. But it feels fundamentally more culturally healthy than whatever the fuck is going on in big corpo social media.

Nah. It’s a cesspool like 4chan, except for far left.
If that’s what you believe, then why are you still here?
If it makes fash like you uncomfortable then we’re doing something right here.
You know, this is so overused it doesn’t work anymore
I’m just stating a plain fact here. Now go crawl back into whatever hole you crawled out of.
No. I have the right to propagate my beliefs via protected free speech. You can’t stop me
We can stop you, actually, so shove your frozen peaches where the sun don’t shine.
Except the far left doesn’t systematically stoke violence and hatespeech/hateful ideologies like 4chan/the rightwing.
Thats fucking rich coming from community regularly advocating violence.
Do you mean a community that support the fundamental right to resist oppression?
Oh, so that’s how you justify it? Can I try?
I did not justify anything and you support a fascist
I understand know! The key is to be a hypocrite! This is such an enlighting exchange.
What leftist leaders, groups or movements in power openly advocate for violence?
Hasan Piker? Also just look around the comments about Charlie Kirk assasination.
Charlie advocated for public executions and inciting hate against minorities like black people
So?
