It’s not clear to me why, but it might be that he expects Netanyahu’s coalition to lose power and he wants to punish the infinitesimally less genocidal opposition. Or he blames Netanyahu for the Iran war debacle and the US election wipeout. Of course, nothing can ever be Trump’s fault.
It would be very funny to see the 2027 Congress pushing the bipartian “Infinity Money for Israel Act” which Trump vetos out of spite.
But like so much else with The Don, it’s gonna be TACO Tuesday every time he suffers a marginal amount of pressure.
