I have a theory that WAY less people are truly conscious and aware of the world then we think.
Just going throoigh the motions. Feeling everything like a human not really a NPC, but just no understanding anything.Just millions quietly miming others in a great charade.

It has been quite an eye-opener to realise that all the „haha all the coding I do is copying and pasting from Stack Overflow“ wasn’t just memes. Glazers are always like „it’s no different from copy and pasting like everyone does“ and I’m just like… people were doing that? That explains so much about the crap I reviewed.
It’s the Pareto principle in full effect, or the 1% rule. Only a fraction (sometimes a very small fraction) of any given population actually creates or iterates in a meaningful way. Most people are just copying their work, following along without understanding.
For real!! These people where sloping before LLMs ever even existed.
i’ve had this same thought recently. i found it by reviewing my personal motives over the past couple decades and I noticed my goals were Basic Bitch™ which is how i ended up in such a mediocre life
