With data centers full of RAM, your PC is apparently the problem.

He’s not wrong, just completely fucking tonedeaf.

Ok, yea, sure, from a resource allocation perspective, it does make the most sense to centralize power. Having one giant system running at 80% is more efficient than having a thousand small systems running at 20%. This is why we virtualize servers.

The problem is, we want and need our RAM for more things than having conversations with your “brain”-washed hallucinating spy-bots.

Sorry, but telling something is “wrong” without any “correct” alternative is questionable, too.
As if, how are we sure it’s not trolling if no actual evidence/reference is stated by just “wrong”?

…sigh…it seems people think that I’m siding with Sham Faultman here. I’m not.

There are, however, absolutely benefits to consolidating tech. Lots of them. Far better compute/watt and compute/dollar. Like…significantly. It makes a lot of sense for businesses to consolidate into VMs on a handful of large clustered servers, as opposed to running a bazillion pizza boxes each doing one thing.

There are also drawbacks to consolidating tech. Lots of them. Probably chief anong them being privacy and ownership of data. And that’s a big thing.

I don’t think you side with him, I’m just correcting that he also is wrong in his statement, which is incorrect and no it is not better to pool all compute into datacenters
