A blue Kansas would be incredible.
I have family there, and it’s one of the most under-served states I’ve visited. Horrible education system, failing infrastructure, Internet is ludicrously expensive for garbage-tier service (at least in small towns and rural areas)… It’s not quite Mississippi bad, but it will be eventually if things don’t get turned around.
I don’t know. Kansas is a historically Red place, not known for its elected Democrats. Seeing polls that say the Dem is within striking range or even ahead in Kansas could be a HUGE motivator for Team Blue turnout, because suddenly your vote MAY be the one that puts your guy or gal over the top and makes it possible for a flip of a reliably Red seat to Blue. That’s why Dems (and Reps) publish polls in close races.
But you do have a point. The only poll that matters is the one concluded on 3 November and conducted by your State. If your ballot isn’t turned in, you’re making it easier for the guy or gal you DON’T want to get into office, so make sure you vote as soon as possible, and if not, by Tuesday.
Actually, Kansas has had several Democratic governors. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still very red as a whole, but maybe not as much as people think. As a kid. It was much more red than it has been lately.
Missouri has gone the opposite direction. It was more blue when I moved here, but now, they have their heads so far up Trump’s ass, they taste McDonald’s.
Shit, Kansas is about to flip according to polls. If a dem wins senate in Kansas; theres a 90% chance they win midterms.
And not just Kansas. Texas may flip blue too. Talafreakos for the win!
I did my part first day of early voting!

Brownback and all the Republicans who went along probably set that state back a generation.
all the perennial ‘red’ states are… at least by that much.
Yup, keep touting those polls. That famously gets people out to vote when they think they don’t have to bother.
