London (QNN)- British-Jordanian doctor Dr Nadeem Crowe, who was suspended from his NHS duties mid-shift over social media posts criticising Israel and expressing support for Palestinians, has warned that doctors speaking out about Gaza are being silenced. He has also raised concerns about pro-Israel groups reporting medical professionals to the General Medical Council (GMC), exposing them to complaints and coordinated campaigns over their pro-Palestine views.

This week, Dr. Crowe said that there “appears to be a clear conduit between The Campaign Against Antisemitism and the UKLFI and the Daily Mail/Telegraph.”

On November 2023, under the X account named “Nadeem Haddadin-Crowe” with two Palestinian flags, he posted: “There is a genocide going on as a result of an illegal and violent occupation. Not only in Gaza but in the West Bank.”

“Perhaps to Palestine the Nakba is as much an emotional trauma as the Holocaust to the Jews (sic).”

On 7 November that year he said: “Zionists need to stop using Judaism as a human shield.”

According to the respondents’ opening written submissions, the staff member alleged that Dr Crowe’s posts were “absolutely vile, celebrating Hamas and comparing Israel to the Nazis and are very much antisemitic according to the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance) definition of antisemitism ‘drawing comparison of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis’.”

There is no genocide occurring in Gaza. It’s right that the fellow was suspended. He is supposed to be a doctor, not an activist.
