Members of the Democratic Socialists of America are thinking seriously about a national presidential campaign for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2028 that would reach millions of working people and have the potential to transform American politics.
One requirement is to call themselves a democratic socialist, that would be my guess as the main reason the local DSA chapter wouldn’t officially endorse. I know the chapter still did a whole lot when it came to ground game tho

Local DSA defines their own rules, but generally, you gotta be a dues paying member.
And endorsements come with a chapter commitment of volunteering support.
