    4 out of 5 stories surrounding Telegram are negative. Its Russian origins and the extent data falls under their jurisdiction, its lackluster encryption, its mad groups full of misinformation - it’s very rarely cute dog memes from your mom. So if you ask me, they can ai-shitefy in a hurry if they want to.

    Isn’t telegram the domain of criminals just tech savvy enough to know better than to trust platforms broadly? You’d think they’d be anti-ai

      It’s mostly the platform for nazis and pedophiles who don’t know what operational security means. There are unfortunately also some furries and such who use it.

        It’s very popular among furries and the only reason I can think of why is the stickers. A ton of the stickers are furry and they are also free. I literally only use it because it’s where the local furry group has the group chat for event planning.

          Signal also has stickers now and is way safer. I suppose it’s inertia, but I really wish these groups would move away from telegram.
