Luckly there is still stuff like Stoat that does not seem vibe coded (or at least it wasn’t last time i checked?)
Last time I ckecked, Stoat had a closed source Android app. I also feel like of you can, you should just run Matrix. It works, and feels a lot more versatile than those attempted Discord clones, especially due to federation.
Tbh i don’t really like Matrix, especially because the most selling feature of discord for me is the guild and role system with granular permission management
Yeah. From what I heard around the c10y community, that is something people are aware of, and might be improved/expanded, but I agree that the current power level solution is not very flexible. It is, however, sufficient for my usecase.
