The headline should approach it from this angle “The Greed of Landlords Has Hit An All-Time High”.

    1. Make homlessness illegal
    2. Price people out of housing
    3. Imprison the homeless
    4. Profit from (more) slaves

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

And world thinks why don’t you all protest. Maybe stamping license plates doesn’t sound like a fulfilling life. It’s by design. Voting for Obama to expand the Patriot act is what lead to this. I don’t care for down votes, I voted for him. But it laid down the path for this.

Have to be able to get off work to protest. I feel like the solution is setting up some kind of mutual aid so people protesting can lose their jobs and still be taken care of but nobody who gives a shit has the extra resources to do that.

I’ll say it like a broken record, but literally sitting on your ass and doing nothing and watching TV (or doing one of the million of things that you’re behind on) is most effective. Think of it as a modern day sit in protest.

If no one goes to the pub, the grocery store, the petrol station, buys anything really. And not go into work. Think of it as the day the world stood still. This is the kind of protesting that gets attention. I mean when the railway workers didn’t go to work, the president uses an executive order to force them back to work is enough of an illustration. Imagine if every railway worker and every truck driver got the lettuce thing and had to call out.

And predictably they’ll blame dems who retake power, limited by states and federal positions held or regained by voters voting republican because they still like THEIR guy but not the others, there will be veto power so nothing can be done in Washington, but it will be the Dems fault that all Trump’s policies and republican economic programs (destruction of social programs, funnel money from the non wealthy to the wealthy) continue to work their way up the ladder of economic classes until they stop at those who benefit from the wealth transfers.

At this point I’m unsure of any path forward in the US politically that will end in making things any better in the short term. I’m voting still and everyone should, but I fear it’ll either be what you said or the fascists seize more power by calling fraud and cheating. L

Your only power is local, and you should 100% vote.

Apart from two dozen potential DSA wins, I have no hope whatsoever for country-wide change.

they’ll blame dems who retake power

They’ll blame Dems because Dems never do anything meaningful about it, and the centrists won’t do anything this time either, as you can see from the Slotkins and Schumers of the world telling us we have to fund this new illegal war because “we’re in it now”, while ignoring the war’s effects on the poor and middle class.

The only hope we have for meaningful change is the two dozen or so DSA’s that are electable now precisely because the Dems are so blatantly and openly corrupt.
