During an interview with Fox News, Cruz was asked why so many Republican-held Senate seats were toss-ups this year. Cruz acknowledged the frightening environment for the GOP — “there are eight to 10 Senate races that are tied or within the margin of error” — before saying Republicansappear cursed because their party is in power
I feel like Old Gods of Appalachia should use this as a writing prompt for a one off non-canon episode.
Also, listen to Old Gods of Appalachia, that show is so fucking good.
You are not kidding. I’m so behind on episodes, but…yes. Such a great show.
Same. I’ve sat out this season so I can burn through it without waiting for the next episodes. They really know how to leave you hanging and begging for more.
They have some smaller series that they do on patreon that are entirely worth it, as well. Cam and Steve are such phenomenal writers, and Steve’s voice and candor is just pure honey to the ears.
What’s it about?
Lovecraftian entities and nefarious creatures and critters of the hollers, their schemes, and the witches and workers of The Green that protect them and theirs against those that would do harm in Appalachia, most of it is set in the early 1900’s around the times of the railroad and mining tycoons, but it jumps around. Really good story telling, lore, characters, narration, and voice acting, they put a lot of work into it. Fully written and performed (with a couple of high profile caveats) by progressive people of and from Appalachia. Can’t recommend it enough.
Sounds awesome. I’m gonna check it out!
Me too! That sounds awesome
It always seems like Carnivale (the show), relocated to Appalachia and mashed up with Lovecraft.
So good.
That’s a great description, especially during Jack’s trial, that sums that whole arc up perfectly.
