It’s the goddam oil thing again. Saudis have run out, it seems burning billions of barrels of oil during gulf wars (setting wells on fire for one) has caused quite a few of the dessert tribes to go hunting for oil elsewhere (the gulf - via … ah, I won’t go into it with you but putin, trump and the saudis are in on “capturing” the gulf’s oil - drilling unregulated - which will turn the gulf into a fucking oil rag and wipe out the gulf coast for “human” use. (or food)
But… Iran still has some. As do several other countries. We do. Canada does. Alaska does. I assume Greenland does also. Drill baby drill - the words of a pack of fucking lunatics bent on self profit at the expense of the planet.

They may disagree with the idea of it but the reality is that China has full power to dominate their sphere of influence if they choose and no other single nation has the means to stop them.
