I think they seriously underestimated and still do just how many people actually swapped from Bernie to Trump.
I’ve met a couple of these idiots. They have little understanding of how government works and are very populist minded. In each case they were seeking someone who would “shake things up”.
Not as many as Hillary supporters went to McCain after she lost to Obama, so maybe drop the tired blaming of the left for the center’s incredible ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
And this isn’t by a little bit, 24-25% of Hillary supporters voted McCain compared to 6-12% of Bernie supporters voting Trump. And that’s not even getting to the fact that Bernie was an outsider candidate who likely attracted people who wouldn’t otherwise identify as Democratic voters. So get another fucking argument, I’m fed up with this bullshit.
