Y’know how you’re not supposed to just yell “somebody do something” in an emergency situation? If I ever hear someone yell such a thing, I’m going to be the “somebody”.
If people are hurt enough, they will push towards it.
While I totally disagree with both, there are distributions without systemd and there are NEW projects that keep X11 alive and shun Wayland.
Something like this could happen with the Kernel. I’m not the one doing it because while I dislike Linus’ pro-slop stance I don’t really care enough for actively working on something like that…
But if available I’d install it instead of the slop Kernel.
The former seems unlikely to happen (or at least for the long term).
